What is Hospice?
Hospice is a Medicare benefit designed for individuals faced with a terminal illness. Hospice does not hasten death, nor does hospice prolong life. The focus is on quality of life, rather than extending life. Traditional medical treatments often involve difficult recovery or have side-effects that are undesirable, painful, uncomfortable, or inconvenient. Hospice removes those problems and focuses on comfort for the patient, their family and loved ones.Hospice care is about aggressive symptom management. Hospice addresses, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual pain and suffering associated with end of life. Our team of Physicians, Nurses, Social Workers, Chaplains, and Certified Nursing Assistants work together to assure patients receive the absolute best hospice experience.
